Introduction:

The Road Institute is an educational and training institute that has been established recently in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is anticipated that Roads Institute will provide the tools and program that handle the training and qualifying of technicians and the engineers in the field of highways engineering, considering the requirements of the work industry and the challenges leading to excellence in these fields. The road institute offers two kinds of programs. The first one is qualify the students to a diploma certificate in the field of highways, supervision and laboratory technical work. This program is of two years and it is available to the laboratory technical work. This program is of two years and it is available to the holder of a high schools degree. The other program includes a comprehensive training program through short courses and workshops for the notable experts with qualification and experience in the field of highway engineering. With the second program, the road institute seeks to upgrade the practice, professionally and technically, through organizing training programs. It also pursure to provide technical facilities and specialized research work for both the road contractor and road consultant in the gulf region.
